Ensuring Fair Relief

Breach of Contract
In 2022, MWD and its homeowner clients prevailed at trial against a contractor who sought to pursue several mechanics’ lien claims. MWD also established at trial that contractor was liable for damages to homeowners for breaching the construction contract.

MWD wins an arbitration in a residential nondisclosure case. MWD represented the buyers of a single-family home in Lafayette against a corporation who sold them the home. MWD successfully argued that conditions regarding the property were not properly disclosed to MWD’s clients and thus achieved a substantial award on its clients’ behalf.

Insurance Appraisal
In a case involving a water intrusion claim to a single-family home, MWD successfully represented its clients in an insurance appraisal against the insurer in which MWD increased the value of its clients’ claim by thousands of dollars for the cost of repair.

MWD wins a trial by successfully arguing that its client’s view had been wrongly blocked by a neighbor’s trees in violation of a local site ordinance.
